1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PluginSmith ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PluginSmith is a free, open-source macOS application that helps users create Claude Code plugins and skills from documentation. The App is provided under the MIT License.

3. API Key & Third-Party Services

The App requires a personal Anthropic API key to function. By using the App, you acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own Anthropic API key.
• All API usage costs are your responsibility and are billed directly by Anthropic.
• Your use of the Anthropic API is subject to Anthropic's Terms of Service.
• The App stores your API key locally in the macOS Keychain and never transmits it to any server other than the Anthropic API.

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of all documents you import and all plugins you generate. The App does not collect, store, or transmit your content to any third party. Content is sent to the Anthropic API solely for processing at your request.

5. Permitted Use

You may use, copy, modify, and distribute the App in accordance with the MIT License. You may not:

• Remove or alter any copyright notices or license terms.
• Misrepresent the origin of the software.
• Use the App for any purpose that violates applicable laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. The entire risk of using the App is with you.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the author be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the App or the use or other dealings in the App.

8. Generated Content

Plugins and skills generated by the App are created using AI. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before use or distribution. The author makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, quality, or suitability of generated output.

9. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
